The best DIY cornhole boards are 24″ X 48″.  They come unfinished, but ready to be painted.  My name is Silas.  I am 9.  Cornhole is my favorite.  I only play adult tournaments.  This year, I have come in 1st place in a blind draw tournament.  There were 2 2nd place finishes and a 3rd place.  I came in 4th in a solo tournament.  I play in a Winter league in Bedford, PA run by Abby’s Angels Dog Rescue.  My favorite sport/game is Corn Hole game, but I do also play football, basketball, baseball for my school.

Last year players were disappointed when they were paired with me for a Cornhole Game.  Now I get invited to tournaments.  I have put in a lot of time practicing and entering various tournaments.  I have used a wide variety of bags and played on many different boards.  You wouldn’t believe what a difference good boards are from bad boards.

I am particular about my corn hole boards (cornhole boards) and corn hole bags. Though I just ordered a set of custom corn hole bags with my name embroidered on them,  I feel the boards are the most important part of Corn Hole.  Low quality boards are not fun to play on.  They bounce and move.  It is hard to score and it is hard to get better.

Cornhole history is somewhat unclear.  Cornhole is also known as bean bag toss game.  While other games and sports have well documented pasts, Cornhole does not.  It is a game that most likely originated in the midwest, specifically OHIO.  Cornhole started as a game played on farms during the downtime.  Farmers made some type of board with a hole and filled bags with whole kernel corn.  And like today, players tossed the bags at the platforms trying to land on the platform or in the hole.  Read More…
