The Best Corn Hole Bags w/ Silas Weber Embroidered

Who Am I?

My name is Silas Weber.  I am 9.  Cornhole is my favorite game and I only use the best corn hole bags.  I play adult tournaments.  This year, I have come in 1st place in a blind draw tournament. I had 2 2nd place finishes and a 3rd place.  I came in 4th in a solo tournament.  In the Winter, I play in a league in Bedford, PA run by Abby’s Angels Dog Rescue.  My favorite sport/game is Corn Hole game, but I do also play football, basketball, baseball for my school.

Last year players were disappointed when they were paired with me for a Cornhole Game.  Now I get invited to tournaments.  I have put in a lot of time practicing and entering various tournaments.  I have used a wide variety of bags and played on many different boards.  You wouldn’t believe what a difference good cornhole bags are from bad corn hole bags.

I am particular about my corn hole bags.  I just ordered a set of custom corn hole bags with my name embroidered on them.  They are pictured above.   I feel the bags are the most important part of Corn Hole.  Low quality bags are not fun to play with.  They are hard to control and inconsistant.  It is hard to score, and it is hard to get better.  So, I will explain different kinds of quality bags below that I have used with price ranges.

What Size Corn Hole Bags Are We Talking About?

I am focusing on standard size cornhole bags.  The standard size for corn hole bags is 6″x6″ and 1 pound.  There are various materials that a cornhole bag can be made from.  The bags can be cloths, fabrics or even synthetics.  The fillers can be literally corn or other synthetic pellets.

What about CornHole Bags?

You will notice that I am providing a pair of numbers with each bag.  The numbers range from 1-9.  Companies will use different materials on each side of the bags.  So, the numbers are actually a speed rating for the material.  There are 2 numbers, because each bag has 2 sides.  Most bags have what we call a slick side and a stick side.  The slick side has the higher number and is faster on the board.  It will slide more once it lands and it can be pushed easier while sitting on the board.  The stick side has the lower number.  It moves slower after landing on the board and is harder to move once it is sitting on the board.

Because there are so many different speed combinations possible, the best cornbags can be very different from one player to the next.  I personally need a faster bag.  I am young and it is harder for me to throw the cornhole bags 27 feet.  So, I often have bags on the board that I am trying to push into the hole.

What are the best Corn hole bags 2022 2023?

Reynolds Typhoon Corn Hole Bags

I’ll start with my newest bags.  The Reynolds Typhoon.  This is a great all around bag.  A storm has been brewing at Reynolds Nation!!  The Typhoon features the Pro X material on the slick side and the Typhoon material on the stick side.  This bag is equipped to create a stir throughout the cornhole world!  The slick side tips the scales at an 8.5.  The stick side measures in at 5.

This best corn hole bag does it all and is ready to play right out of the box.  Just a couple down and backs and they are broken in and ready for competition.  This is not the bag that I recommend for beginners.  8.5 is fast.  I mainly use the slick side, but I’ve had a lot of practice.  It can be hard to control that much speed if you don’t have a good handle on how to throw corn hole bags with different arcs and speeds and spins.

These best corn hole bags are in the $60 price range for a set of 4.  There is no additional fee for customization.  I got my name on mine.  I chose a blue corn hole bag.  There are 11 colors to choose from.  These will also be a conversation piece when players see them for the first time.  I can’t wait to use them in a tournament.

ESPN, CBS, and NBC APPROVED FOR ANY AND ALL ACL TOURNAMENTS!!

Speed Scale Ratings – 5 / 8.5

Local Champion Corn Hole Bags

I recommend these bags for beginners.  These corn hole bags are built for control.  The command material (Slick) matched with the new revo carpet (stick) makes this bag built to perform. Ideal for curves and rolls. A medium speed bag built for the thrower who can manipulate a bag or learn to manipulate a bag.  It isn’t prone to running off the back of the board.  These bags are also great for playing defense as they are harder to move.  This gives the beginner an advantage over experienced players.  These best corn hole bags are in the $50 price range.

Take your game to the next level by using professional bags built with the highest quality materials and sewn with a CNC sewing machine to ensure consistency!

Razor War Pig CornHole Bags

This best corn hole bag is fast and super fast!  Powered by Razor’s exciting new RZ3 resin.  There is so much R&D that went into these bags that you won’t want to miss your chance at owning a set.  Razor spent a year working on developing this resin.  They didn’t stop until they had the highest performing resin on the market.  Then, they tested various template sizes until they had the highest rate of bag dropping in the hole!!

This is Razor’s top bag, a best seller.  Some call it a cheater bag, because it goes in the hole so easy. No kick, no bounce, slides exactly where you tell it to.  These bags are fast.  I recommend these for the experienced player.  They are great for pushing bags around and manipulating the board.

A thousand Wars, A thousand Victories – War Pig by Razor Bags.  Price range is $80.

Speed Rating- 6 Stick / 9 Slick

Reynolds Carpet Corn Hole Bags

These are fun bags for those who like to roll over bags or throw a lot of cut shots.  They are great for flopping by the hole.  But they are also very fast for good slides.

Say Hello to our little friend!! Reynolds Bags knows CARPET… they named it Carpet!!! The Carpet Bag is on a mission and possesses a very specific set of skills. This bag boasts Reynolds new Cyclone material on the slcik side and their CARPET 2.0 material on the stick side!!

This bag came to party, is hole friendly and can flop, shake, rattle and roll with the best of them.  So, it’s time to get your ROLL ON!!  This Carpet is not just hole friendly–its hole obsessed! This Carpet will SLOW it down a bit on fast boards yet still move when things get sticky.

The Cyclone slick side is pretty even keeled, yet quick and controllable for that perfect push shot!! This bag melts in your hand!

When the dust settles if your bag doesn’t say Reynolds, is it even Carpet?  There is no additional fee for customization.  Price Range is $65.

Lets Wrap up Cornhole bags...

Corn hole bags are a very important part of the popular outdoor game, Corn Hole.  They seem simple…bean bag.  But, your corn hole bags can have a huge impact on the game.  You have to consider your skill level and throwing style when choosing bags.  I personally like a 5/8.5 bag.  Reynolds makes a great one.  But, my dad likes a Carpet Bag.  They are 3.14/8.5.  Beginners should stick with the lower numbers  and move up the scale as they improve.

Cornhole history is somewhat unclear.  Cornhole is also known as bean bag toss game.  While other games and sports have well documented pasts, Cornhole does not.  It is a game that most likely originated in the midwest, specifically OHIO.  Cornhole started as a game played on farms during the downtime.  Farmers made some type of board with a hole and filled bags with whole kernel corn.  And like today, players tossed the bags at the platforms trying to land on the platform or in the hole.  Read More…
