Folks, we are eating our diseases.  Heart attacks, strokes, type 2 diabetes, obesity, dementia, Alzheimer’s, etc are not caused by bacteria, viruses or genetics.  The problem is our diet.  The underlying crisis is called INSULIN RESISTANCE (aka Metabolic Syndrome, Syndrome X).  And, it is effecting 90% of us to some degree.  How can this be?  Food.  60 years ago we got the food pyramid with lots of carbs, some protein and a little fat.  60 years ago they told us that high Carbohydrate/low Fat diets were heart healthy.  And, science (including the petroleum industry) invented our processed foods, drinks, prescription drugs and seed oils.  Think about it.  Even though Smoking is down.  Cancer, heart disease and type 2 diabetes are still increasing.  Not just increasing, but increasing faster than ever.  It’s our food and drink.  We must educate ourselves.  Our healthcare system is really a sickcare system.  That’s what it’s good at.  What it isn’t good at is giving you a roadmap to stay healthy and avoid sickness.  

I can sum up the vast majority of us…me too a couple years ago.  We are eating the wrong foods at the wrong times while living a sedentary, indoor lifestyle.  So, our bodies are constantly processing the junk we are putting in it.  But, there is a shortage of nutrients our body needs.  This leaves us with low energy and weak immunity.  In other words, we consume lots of lectins, sugar, simple carbohydrates and seed oils all day long.  We are deficient in protein, healthy fats and many vitamins and minerals.  We lack exercise and sunlight exposure.  How do we get to the path of health and wellness?  We have to unlearn the old ways and learn the new ways.

Here’s the opportunity…in 1 year 95% of our body will be brand new.  Our cells get old and die and are replaced constantly.  We can either continue rebuilding ourselves exactly as we are, or we can build the person we want to be in a year.  You’ll learn as you read on, our bodies are brilliant.  With the right nutrients and stimulation, you can look and feel as good as you want.  You can reduce your chance of cancer, heart attack and stroke by up to 90%.  You can virtually eliminate the chance of many other chronic illnesses like type 2 diabetes, dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease (type 3 diabetes).  You can lose the fat and build the muscle.  Let’s not be another sad statistic.  Let’s start the movement of the lean, mean healthy machines!!

One.  You prioritize you.  Mind.  Body.  Spirit.  There comes a time when everyone will make their health and wellness a priority.  It isn’t selfish.  The more you pour into your cup, the more you have to give.  Most of us are pouring into everyone else’s cup from an empty pitcher.  Imagine if you were full of energy, full of life, your brain was sharp, you didn’t need a nap, you didn’t have all those prescription side effects, your cells were firing on all cylinders, your circulation was good, etc.  You could give so much more of you!

It’s time for the hard questions…Who, What, Where, Why.  Who are you?  What are you?  Where are you?  Why are you?  Our focus is so strong on what we do.  And, we stay so busy doing, we never figure out who we are.  The Alphas know who they are, What they are, Where they are AND Why they are.  Everything revolves around that.  When motivation disappears, the WHY gives an Alpha discipline.  The bigger the WHY the stronger the discipline.  Get a big WHY.  I want my kids to be proud of me.  That’s my WHY.  Maybe you need to beat cancer.  Maybe you need to lose 100lbs, get out of poverty, beat addictions, reach your potential.  It all starts with ourselves.  Our life is the external representation of our internal thoughts and beliefs.  Changing your life only requires changing one person!

Sanitas (Latin)

Soundness of body and mind.  A mind and body free from filth and pathogens.  The keys to unlock these doors are below.  Time for a change.  Time for Alpha Mind, Body, Spirit.  Excellence is not free.  I’m not talking money.  Diamonds are made from Pressure and Cuts.  Embrace the pain.  Become a Diamond.   Dream big!  But, know this…the mind and body are directly connected.  There are more neurotransmitters in the gut than the the brain.  They work together and you have to “fix” both.

Alpha Centauri

Alpha Swoletauri is a play on Alpha Centauri.  Alpha Centauri is a well-know system of stars.  To the naked eye, it appears to be 1 star, the 2nd brightest.  But, it is actually multiple stars working together to create 1 strong star.  Phase 1, 2, 3 of Alpha Swoletauri work together in a similar fashion to create a stronger you.  Each step is great on its own…but the synergistic effect of all the steps improves the mind, body and spirit.  Together it makes each part of you brighter and stronger.  

You were made for greatness!  Live life on purpose.  Some day it will become necessary to make yourself a priority.  For most of us, it’s when we have given ourselves no other choice.  That is when I got serious! Sometimes, it’s even too late!  Hopefully, you are finding us before it comes to that.  Don’t wait for a doctor to give you the bad news.  Ignorance isn’t bliss.

What I Discovered

The symptoms of Bad Health Habits are pretty minor as you progress.  Examples of symptoms are dry skin, shortness of breath, bad night vision, tingling fingers.  These are not overly alarming.  You don’t rush to the ER.  It is easy to put off.  Consequences of continued Bad Health habits surface years later.  These are alarming.  Alzheimer’s, Heart Attack, Diabetes, Stroke, Blood Clots, Blindness, Depression, Crohn’s Disease, Cancer, etc. are some common examples.  In other words…The BIG events can happen with little warning.  We have to beat them with good habits.

What is Alpha Swoletauri?

LET’S BEGIN WITH THE “LION” IN THE ROOM….Diet, Exercise, Hydration

 

The Lion Diet  (Free, $, $$)

The Lion does not eat 3 squares a day.  The lion eats when he is hungry enough to hunt.  During the hunger gaps, the lion’s body is naturally increasing testosterone and HGH to preserve muscle.  His cells are consuming the weak and damaged cells.  Then, the lion eats large amounts of protein.

“The Lion Diet” consists of intermittent fasting and longer fasting strategies, multivitamin supplements, eating foods high in protein and some optional methods.  There is a “Cut Weight” Cycle and a “Maintain Weight” Cycle.

This is my diet of choice.  For me, I can lose the fat and keep the skeletal muscle mass.  If you choose a different eating program, just be sure to follow it.  There is more than one way to skin this “Big Cat”.

Interestingly; fasting, meal prepping and not eating at restaurants (though you certainly can) has saved me about 50% $$ of what I used to spend on food.  And, the nutritional value is up exponentially.  I’ve traded in deep fried Sweet and Sour Chicken over Rice for grilled chicken and beef on keto tortillas with Fermented Salsa and Guac.  Don’t feel sorry for me!  YUM!!

Micro Nutrition

We believe that a healthy diet and a good, quality multivitamin are a cornerstone to the Alpha Lifestyle.  It is vital to fill in the nutritional gaps left from food.  Unfortunately, they just don’t build it like they used to!  Our fruits and veggies have been grow to look appetizing.  The nutritional value, however, has suffered.  Our food has 25-50% less vitamins and minerals than 50 years ago and much of it is poisoned to control pests.  For me, the multivitamin could have been a matter of life or death!  If you are going to invest in just one thing….make it a good mutivitamin.

You’ll have a stronger heart.  You’ll burn calories all day long as body repairs itself through protein muscle synthesis.  Your confidence level will sky rocket.  You will feel good.  If you join a gym,  you’ll have a tribe of like-minded people.

2-3 times / week (NOT on weight lifting days).  We recommend that you flood your vital organs and brain with blood.  3-6 minutes submerged in ice water  (50 degrees or less) will do the trick.  Your body will also release an ice shock protein.  It aids the muscles between workouts.  Your blood vessels will get a good workout as they constrict and relax.  Your dopamine levels will triple over the next 3-6 hours.  And, you will feel a sense of accomplishment.  Mind over matter.

Note from Ethan Weber:  Unlike most molecules, Proteins have a narrow range of thermic stability.  Extreme heat and cold can denature protein.  Do not take an ice bath within 5 hours (before or after) of a resistance training.  An ice bath is recommended after all other forms of exercise.

The Jer Scare

I’m lucky to be telling you about this.  But, I also feel like it is my duty.  When I was 43 years old I had not seen a doctor in 10 years.  My doctor retired and I hadn’t ever gotten a new one.  I didn’t ever get sick.  In fact I didn’t even have health insurance for 6 years.  I didn’t see the need considering the cost.  That plan was great until one day my left leg felt weird.  I was at work.  I pulled over my equipment and lifted my pant leg to see a swollen lower leg.  I finished my shift and went home.  

That night I propped my leg up and applied ice.  By morning my swelling was down and I went to work.  I work 11 hours shifts standing on a piece of equipment.  Toward the end of the shift,  I was swollen again…a little worse.  I elevated and iced again.  I went to work the next day.  

Day 3

I could feel the swelling setting in sooner.  I looked at my leg and saw a fully swollen leg from the knee down.  I was taken back a little, but I had sold health insurance for years and was pretty familiar with health conditions.  I thought for sure I had an infection in my leg and just needed an antibiotic.  So, I broke down and made my way to an urgent care center.  

Urgent Care Center

 
I got right in at the urgent care center.  The doctor was great.  I showed up basically requesting antibiotics and she correctly told me that it didn’t look like an infection.  She recommended I go to the hospital straight away.  Based on the redness of the swelling and the warmth, she was thinking blood clot.  I still was thinking infection.  I didn’t even have Covid to my knowledge, and I didn’t get the vaccines (The 2 leading causes of blood clots at that time).  I did have an annoying cough for a couple months, though.  
 

Blood Clots

 So, an ultrasound at the ER did in fact confirm that I had a large blood clot in my left thigh.  Doctor’s words, “You are very lucky.  We normally find these in people’s hearts and brains.”  I didn’t feel so lucky.  The clot was labeled “Acute”.  That is the bad kind.  I began taking blood thinners.  I now had to get a family doctor and then a hematologist.  

The theory was that the annoying cough was Covid.  My blood work did come back positive for the Covid antibodies.  I definitely had Covid at some point.  Blood Clots are a Covid symptom.  I found a family doctor to accept me.  I got a 90 day supply of blood thinners, so there was time to make all these appointments and do some bloodwork.  

By the time I got into the Family Doctor’s office, enough time had passed that he scheduled bloodwork and another ultrasound.  The bloodwork was fine, but he called me after the ultrasound.  It wasn’t fine.  He was changing my medication, because there was a 2nd “Acute” blood clot.  For some reason we continued as is for about 6 months and the hematologist released me from care. 

Surely It Couldn’t Get Worse

About a year and a half after my ER visit….During a routine check-up, my Blood Pressure was elevated.  3 months later it was elevated again, so we started a water pill.  The doctor recommended that I get a home BP tester, but I didn’t see the need.  Strangely, my weight did also suddenly jump up to 305!  I thought I’d just lose some weight, and the water pill would help with that, and it would be fine.  

I began losing weight.  I lost 20lbs, but my blood pressure got worse and we added a pill.  Then 30lbs, but my blood pressure got worse and we changed to a stronger water pill.  I lost 40lbs and my blood pressure got worse.  We increased the other pill.  50lbs off!  And, I had to go to the ER for my blood pressure.  190/120.  My doctor saw me the next day.  We agreed that my weight was not the direct contributor to the High Blood Pressure.  

So, at this point, I had 2 blood clots and out of control Blood Pressure with no explanation.  I asked the doc if I could have a clogged artery.  I thought at this point that both conditions were probably a side effect to something.  I no longer thought they were unrelated.  Doc agreed.  But, she said my arteries sounded fine.

What she did…ordered heart tests and sleep study.  What I did…hit the internet for answers.  I also suggested that we do another ultrasound.  I had 2 so far, and we found a new clot each time.  It had been a year since my last one. 

I had a 3rd blood clot.  All “Acute”.  Back to the hematologist.  

Am I Gonna Lose My Leg?

I also had a mild case of sleep apnea.  The doc said I could try a breathing machine or just continue to lose weight.  I got the machine.  But, I continued to watch videos about health/human biology.  I was starting to understand what vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc. do.  However, my methods were very inefficient.  I would learn something new and give the remedy a try.  1 at a time.

Then it occurred to me.  I was discovering one thing after another that could cause circulatory issues due to nutrition.  For example a deficiency in Folate would result in too much homocysteine in the blood, resulting in High Blood Pressure and Clotting due to the swelling of vessel walls.  My new plan…Find a great multivitamin that provides all of the vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids.  Then, I didn’t need to keep trying to discover possible causes one at a time and add a new pill to the long list I was testing.  Be Proactive!!

TODAY

Now, I am happy to report that I have dissolved 2 of the clots.  My 3rd clot is now called “Chronic”.  It is much less of a concern as a chronic clot.  First, I prayed for answers.  Next, I spoke to the clots.  Thirdly, I said statements of positive affirmation.  Amazingly, answers quickly appeared.  SO many random videos appeared when I was researching in YouTube.  They were about nutritional deficiencies of some type.  So, I watched and applied what I learned accordingly.  And, the clots quickly disappeared.  I do not expect to have the Chronic clot for life.  Next ultrasound I expect more good news.  

Final Conclusion:  

We need to be proactive with our nutrition.  Up to 80% of disease is Lifestyle related.  Our doctors are not lifestyle coaches, but that is what we need 80% of the time.  Our body’s systems are very complex and just 1 slight deficiency in a nutrient can cause a ripple effect.  Admittedly, It can be very hard to pinpoint the exact cause of ailments after the fact.  So many stones to overturn!!!  Our responsibility to ourselves….Control the controllables.  Take the Multivitamin.  Eat healthy food.  Get Sunlight.  Move our body.  Live Alpha Prosper.
